Simple, Ghoulish Snacks for Your Halloween Party

No Halloween party is complete without some delicious snacks and drinks. Add some extra creepiness to your party by making one of the fiendish dishes below.

Spider Pizza

For this snack, you’ll need to purchase:

  • Refrigerated pizza dough
  • Pizza sauce
  • Cheese
  • Black olives

To put these handy treats together, roll out small (about three inches in diameter) mini pizza doughs. Top with sauce and cheese to your liking.

Here comes the creepy part: slice one olive in half and place cut-side down in the middle of the pizza for the spider’s body. Slice a small section off the top of the another olive and place cut-side down as the spider’s head. Then slice the remaining half of an olive into eight thin pieces and position around the body as creepy-crawly legs.

Severed Hand Punch

For this drink, make your favorite punch recipe and have it ready to go in a punch bowl. Freeze part of the punch into a plastic glove, like a medical glove. As it freezes, you may even be able to bend the fingers into shapes.

Once the glove is completely frozen, cut off the plastic part and place your severed hand into the punch bowl. The hand looks creepy and keeps your drinks cool.

Graveyard Dirt Pudding

Dirt pudding is a party favorite and easily dressed up for Halloween. First, make your favorite chocolate instant pudding. Next, crush up sandwich cookies to make the dirt. Finally, take an oval or square shaped cookie and use black icing to write “R.I.P.” onto the top half of the cookie.

Serve in individual cups so your guests can easily eat as they mingle. Add a layer of pudding, then top with the crushed cookies. Then slide in your oval cookie so it looks like gravestone sticking out of the ground. You can also add gummy worms for more sweet, scary goodness.

Add in some creepy music and fun decorations, and you’ll be all set for a fun and frightening Halloween party. For all your Halloween party snack and drink needs, stop in Food Lion at Pantops Shopping Center in Charlottesville.
